Preserving Our Fishery

At Liddle's we work to preserve our fishery! We know that our guests share our desire to maintain a healthy fishery in our northern Ontario waters. In order to maintain a balance between our fishery, and business preservation, we have incorporated a variety of measures to ensure our guests have great fishing now as well as in the future.

Eat it here instead of taking it with you!
Because of our concern about the total number of fish harvested from our water body, we encourage our guests to take only those fish to be eaten while on the lake. Shore lunch is prepared daily by our lodge staff on the shore of the lake for everyone to enjoy. We cook fresh walleye over an open fire; the best walleye you will ever taste.

For those that insist on taking fish home, we permit guests to take up to the Ontario Conservation Fishing Licence limits. These limits can be found in the Licences & Regulations section. Brook Trout fishing on our waters is very exciting. In order to preserve the limited population of this fragile and beautiful species, all brook trout fishing is conducted on a catch and release basis. We insist on the use of barbless hooks to ensure quick release and prevent injury to the trout.
