Licences & Regulations
In support of current conservation practices, it is Liddle's Fishing Adventures policy that guests wishing to take fish home, abide by the Ontario Conservation Licence limits.
With this in mind, guests may wish to purchase the less expensive "conservation" licence and not a "standard" licence.
Ontario Fishing Licences are also sold throughout the province in local bait and tackle shops as well as some restaurants and hotels. It is your responsibility to purchase a licence prior to flying into Makokibatan Lodge or Makok Outpost. Licences may be purchased at the sea plane base of Nakina Air, your departure point in Nakina.

- Take Home Fish - For those interested in taking fish home with them, it is our policy that each guest take no more than 2 walleye and 2 northern pike. Of each of those species, only one walleye may be larger than 18 inches in length, and all northern pike must be smaller than 27 inches in length. This corresponds to the possession limit of an Ontario Conservation Licence.
- Children Under 18 - May fish without a licence if accompanied by a licenced adult. Any fish caught will legally be part of the catch and possession limit of the person who holds the adult licence. Non-residents under the age of 18 may purchase a licence and any fish caught apply to the catch and possession limit of the licence.
- Drinking and Boating - It is against the law to have open containers of alcohol in a motorized vehicle, and this includes your boat while you are fishing.
- Boating in the Rapids - You are not permitted to boat in the rapids of the Albany River without the use of a guide.
