Both Miminiska Lodge and Makokibatan Lodge have a satellite telephone, and can be direct dialed from both the USA and Canada.
Aircraft at the lodges are generally available within two hours for emergency flights to nearby hospitals and/or nursing stations located within a 1 ½-hour flight.
We have our own aircraft positioned at one of the lodges that can be used to transport someone to medical attention almost immediately. If allergies and/or allergic reactions are a concern, we highly recommend you advise our cook of food allergies and our manager of other allergies upon arrival at camp to help ensure your safe vacation.
