Heading out onto the water aboard a canoe or kayak can be a very satisfying experience. These non-motorized craft glide along silently enabling their passengers to experience our beautiful natural surroundings in a whole new light.


As you skim along the water's surface, you can really begin to appreciate the little things, like the rays of sunlight glistening off the surface, the sounds of songbirds in the background, and perhaps be witness to wildlife going about their daily business without the slightest disruption from your presence.


There really isn't a more relaxing way to take in the pristine wilderness that surrounds Makokibatan and Miminiska Lakes. We now have canoes and kayaks at both Miminiska and Makokibatan Lodges for our guests to use at their convenience.
